How can I help keep HOA dues low, and save the community money?
Donating your time by volunteering at work parties hosted by your HOA BOD.
Donating printer paper to your HOA Secretary.
Donating stamps to the BOD. It is really expensive to send anything by mail, but also necessary. It costs the community just over $200 every time we mail something.
Volunteer on your own time. There are lots of things that could be trimmed and weed-whacked and if you have the time, we would really appreciate it. Anything you do yourself is money right back into your pocket, because that means we don't have to hire out to get the job done.
Pay your annual dues every year. When people stop paying their dues, we will need to raise the amount to compensate for the loss of those who are not paying. Not paying your dues will result in your account being sent to collections. We do allow you to break your payments up throughout the year to suit your budget, however, there is a finance charge of 12%.
Share your knowledge. If you are an expert at concrete and we have an assessment going out to pave, speak up! Help us find the lowest bid with the best outcome. If you have a personal business and can find time, we want to hear from you about how we can save money for everyone.
How can I help keep our neighborhood nice?
Picking up litter when you see it and encourage your children to notice garbage and pick it up when they see it, and to throw their own garbage into a proper receptacle. (teach them about safe garbage vs not safe garbage, i.e. needles, broken glass, ect.) We do have some people who leave dirty needles on the ground in our community and those need to be disposed of properly. We encourage you to call or e-mail us if you find one. Put it into a plastic bottle and dispose at the fire station or Rite Aid needle disposal service.
Come to the monthly BOD meetings and tell us what you think. Let us know how we are doing and let us explain to you why we are doing what we do. It's important to understand the work that it takes for the BOD to run the HOA. Understanding leads to success for everyone.
Follow the rules. We have the rules in place to keep our community clean, safe, and friendly. When the guidelines are broken, it results in upset neighbors and poor moral. It is the entire community's responsibility to pull together and educate others in our neighborhood the Rules and Regulations. Your Board of Directors are working hard to keep the community a thriving place to raise children and retire, alike.
